Michael Rozenvain was born in 1963 in the Ukraine in Kiev where he studied art and subsequently attended the Lvov Academy of Applied Art. In 1990, he emigrated to Israel and has since participated in numerous international one-man shows and group exhibitions. At the same time, he has created monumental pieces in hotels and libraries.
Rozenvain's work engages the viewer at first sight. His compositions dance with a lightness, sensuality, and a variety of texture. From pale watercolored areas to bold accents of bright gold, there is a depth and vibrancy to his studies. His subject matter, too, makes his work very appealing; Mediterranean views, cafes, orchestras, his serigraphs come alive with music and dance.
